Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400

The Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 became an unmistakable part of the airline's identity during the golden era of long-haul commercial aviation. Virgin Atlantic's first 747-400, G-VFAB Lady Penelope, joined the fleet in April 1994, introducing the airline to a new generation of the iconic Jumbo Jet. With its distinctive upper-deck profile, four powerful turbofan engines and extended-range capability, the 747-400 was built to connect major international destinations while carrying the unmistakable presence of one of aviation's most recognisable aircraft.

Virgin Atlantic operated thirteen Boeing 747-400s, developing a particularly recognisable fleet through its distinctive liveries and individual aircraft names. The airline's final 747 passenger flight was VS608, a rescue flight from Los Angeles to London Heathrow on 30 March 2020, operated by G-VROS. Later that year, the departure of the final aircraft brought an end to 36 years of Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 operations, closing an important chapter in the airline's history.

Aftercare

How to wash:

Turn your t-shirt inside out— this avoids scratches and friction and keeps the printed area safe.
Wash with cold water—opt for temperatures at or below 30°C (86°F) to prevent it from fading or shrinking.
Delicate cycle.
Soft detergent—harsh detergents can cause the ink to fade or discolour.
Avoid fabric softener and dry cleaning— it can be too harsh for the ink, degrading the print quality.
Avoid bleach!

How to dry:

Keep the t-shirt inside out.
The best option is to hang dry.
Tumble-dry with caution, on a low heat. Over time, the higher temperatures can dry out the ink, causing it to crack.

Damaged, misprinted or wrong item?
Email me as soon as you can, ideally within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a couple of photos. I'll replace it or refund you, and I'll cover return postage if I ask for the item back. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
