The Lufthansa Boeing 747-400 represents an important chapter in the story of the Jumbo Jet and one of commercial aviation's longest-running airline relationships. Lufthansa introduced the original Boeing 747 to scheduled passenger service in 1970, operating its first route between Frankfurt and New York. Nearly two decades later, the 747-400 arrived at Frankfurt in May 1989, bringing a new generation of range, efficiency and technology to the airline's long-haul operations. Its distinctive winglets, four-engine configuration and unmistakable upper-deck profile made it one of the most recognisable aircraft in Lufthansa's history.

Lufthansa's association with the Boeing 747 continued with the introduction of the larger 747-8 Intercontinental in 2012, for which the airline was the launch customer. Although the two generations share the iconic Jumbo Jet silhouette, the 747-400 has its own distinctive proportions and design characteristics. Aftercare

How to wash:

Turn your t-shirt inside out— this avoids scratches and friction and keeps the printed area safe.
Wash with cold water—opt for temperatures at or below 30°C (86°F) to prevent it from fading or shrinking.
Delicate cycle.
Soft detergent—harsh detergents can cause the ink to fade or discolour.
Avoid fabric softener and dry cleaning— it can be too harsh for the ink, degrading the print quality.
Avoid bleach!

How to dry:

Keep the t-shirt inside out.
The best option is to hang dry.
Tumble-dry with caution, on a low heat. Over time, the higher temperatures can dry out the ink, causing it to crack.

Changed your mind?

Please send the item back within 14 days of telling me. Items must be unworn, unwashed and in a resaleable condition, and I may reduce the refund if an item comes back worn, washed or damaged. Return postage is paid by you. Once I receive the item, I'll refund you within 14 days.

Damaged, misprinted or wrong item?
Email me as soon as you can, ideally within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a couple of photos. I'll replace it or refund you, and I'll cover return postage if I ask for the item back. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
